    Cold Plunge

Establishing a routine for cold plunging offers numerous benefits for the body and mind. Cold Plunge activates brown fat, increases metabolism and the body’s ability to burn fat for calories. It also helps to condition the body to adapt to stressors, leading to increased resilience and even emotional control over time. This enhanced resilience strengthens the immune system, improves circulation, and supports cardiovascular health.

Consistency is critical to reaping the full benefits, so schedule those chilly sessions and let the cold plunge become your wellness companion. Make cold plunging a regular part of your routine.

Aim for two to three sessions per week initially, even if you are new to it. This approach allows your body sufficient time to recover, especially if engaging in other physical activity.

Aim to experience cold plunge two to three times a week and commit to maintaining this rhythm for significant recovery and longevity benefits. Alternatively, you could embark on a more ambitious wellness journey and plunge daily!

    Contrast Therapy

Contrast therapy is a therapeutic technique that alternates between hot and cold treatments to boost metabolism and circulation while promote healing and recovery.

It begins with 15 minutes of Sauna to increase blood flow and relax muscles, followed by a Vitamin C shower and a 1–3-minute Cold Plunge, to reduce inflammation and trigger endorphins. This rapid temperature shift stimulates circulation, enhancing nutrient delivery to tissues and flushing out waste.

Sculpt, shape and transform your body by combining these two cutting-edge therapies for maximum benefits.

These sessions will improve mental and physical wellness while shaping your body and reducing your waistline.

  • • Infrared Sauna - 15-30 minutes per session
    • Cold Plunge - 1-10 minutes per session. • Contrast Therapy - 15-30 minutes per session

  • • You will feel lighter and more relaxed immediately, and benefits will continue as you increase your weekly visits. Studies show that there have been improvements in sleep, skin glow/collagen production, cellulite reduction, wound healing, depression/mood, stress, etc with continued use.
    • Studies show 52 minutes cumulative in the infrared sauna, 11 minutes in the cold plunge, and 30 - 50 minutes in red light therapy per week will maximize the benefits that you're seeking.
    • Red Light Sauna - Depending upon the area of the body you are focusing on will depend on the speed of results. For muscle tightness, skin, wrinkles, scarring, etc., you may see results with 2 treatments per week for one month. For deeper work like low T, hormones, hair growth, and cellular health, results should come with regular practice within 3 months.

  • De• Your first visit you will start on a setting that allows the pod to heat up to 130 - 150 degrees. It is common not to sweat as much on your first visit as your body acclimates to the heat.
    • Once you've established a regular practice, it often takes 5-7 minutes for the heat to penetrate deeply for intramuscular work. You'll notice a pool on sweat on your core and upper legs.

Note: It is totally normal to see splotching on your core and legs afterward. That is fresh oxygenated blood opening up your blood vessels. That's a good thing!

  • It• The more you sweat, the more benefits your body will see/feel. Once per day is common with many guests, but at least 2-3 x/week will show you results rapidly. Studies show cumulative 52 minutes per week is a good practice.

    • Cold plunge is recommended at least once/week, but you can visit as often as you like. Studies show cumulative 11 minutes per week is a great practice for maximum benefits.
    • Red light therapy is recommended 2 - 5 times per week.

Please see what to expect/how to prepare for your visit for the sauna, cold plunge, and red light therapy.

  • I• Most guests wear undergarments or little clothing (ie. swimsuit, sports bra, and/or shorts/trunks) during your private session. We recommend wearing loose clothing to make it easier to put back on post-session.

  • De• Urban Sweat staff will clean your sauna before and after each guest's use. We use soap, and water to clean the pillow, pad, etc. We use essential oils, witch hazel, and white vinegar. We wash towels before & after every use, the pad you lay on is waterproof + has an anti-microbial memory foam that helps to keep the sauna clean.

  • • The cold plunge tub has 2 filters that constantly run between each cleaning cycle, constantly cleaning before and after each guest use. More in-depth cleaning is done by staff consistently throughout the day. Water is replaced at least every other day, with ongoing maintenance (testing pH) to ensure the highest quality water. No chlorine is used in cleaning.

  • • If you're under 18, pregnant, not feeling well/have a fever, etc. You must consult with your physician if you have had breast augmentation, abdominal surgery (ex. tummy tuck and c-section), are breastfeeding, or are under the current supervision of a physician.
