Rebuilding After Twins.

My Postpartum Pilates Journey at Body Haus

By Lindsey, Reformer Pilates Instructor at Body Haus Lifestyle Club

A few months ago, my world expanded with the arrival of twin babies—two beautiful, healthy bundles who instantly changed everything. This wasn't my first rodeo; I already had a vibrant five-year-old son at home. So when I say motherhood has shaped me, I truly mean it—layer by layer, year by year.

This time, though, things hit differently. My heart swelled, of course, but my body? It felt like it had weathered a storm. Yet, even after delivering both babies naturally—yes, twin vaginal births—the nurses looked at me in amazement. "You just powered through," they said. I smiled, knowing the secret: Pilates helped me do that.

Throughout my pregnancy, Reformer Pilates was my anchor. It kept me grounded, mobile, and deeply connected to my strength. It supported my breath, my posture, and my mindset. When the big moment arrived, my body knew what to do. I fully credit the breathwork, core awareness, and stability I built over nine months of intentional movement.

Now, I'm on the other side. I'm healing. Rebuilding. And teaching again

Teaching From Experience

At Body Haus Lifestyle Club, I'm back to leading our signature Reformer Pilates classes. But something's different. I'm not just an instructor anymore; I'm a mom in recovery. I'm physically postpartum, even as I guide clients at every level of strength and experience.

Honestly? It's a deep, rich, and incredibly beautiful place to teach from.

Each time I cue a core exercise, I feel it in my own healing muscles. Every time I talk about stability or breathwork, I'm living it right alongside you. I've never felt more connected to what I teach—because I'm embodying every word, every rep, every progression.

I might be teaching a full-level Reformer class at Body Haus, but internally, I'm honoring my postpartum journey in real time. That's what makes this season of teaching so powerful. I've let go of the pressure to "bounce back." Instead, I'm honoring the rebuild—with grace, with strength, and with the wisdom of a woman who knows how to trust her body.
